Dire Straits- When it comes to you !

Dire Straits were a British rock band, formed by Mark Knopfler (vocals and lead guitar), his younger brother David Knopfler (rhythm guitar and vocals), John Illsley (bass guitar and vocals), and Pick Withers (drums and percussion), and managed by Ed Bicknell, active between 1977 and 1995. Although the band was formed in an era when punk rock was at the forefront, Dire Straits played a more bluesy style, albeit with a stripped-down sound that appealed to audiences weary of the overproduced stadium rock of the 1970s] In their early days, Mark and David requested that pub owners turn down their sound so that patrons could converse while the band played, an indication of their unassuming demeanor. Despite this oddly self-effacing approach to rock and roll, Dire Straits soon became hugely successful, with their first album going multi-platinum globally.Throughout the band's career Mark Knopfler was the songwriter and driving force behind the group. The band's best-known songs include "Sultans of Swing", "Money for Nothing", "Brothers in Arms", "Walk of Life", "So Far Away", "Romeo and Juliet" and "Tunnel of Love". Dire Straits and Mark Knopfler have sold in excess of 120 million albums to date.Dire Straits promoted the album with a gruelling world tour which lasted until the end of 1992. After the group disbanded in 1995, Mark Knopfler pursued a solo career and released his debut album Golden Heart in 1996, and has released another five solo records since. On Every Street is the sixth and final studio album by British rock band Dire Straits, released in 1991 (see 1991 in music). It made #1 on the UK Albums Chart.Released on September 10, 1991, Dire Straits' sixth and final studio album was not as successful as their previous album, Brothers in Arms, but still sold more than 8 million copies worldwide. In Europe, the album sold six million copies, and in the United States, one million copies. Reviews for On Every Street upon its release were mixed. The album features American drummer Jeff Porcaro from Toto (the group's drummer Terry Williams had departed from the band two years previously). This album was remastered and released with the rest of the Dire Straits catalogue in 1996 for most of the world outside the United States and on September 19, 2000 in the United States."When It Comes to You" is a song written by Mark Knopfler and recorded by country music artist John Anderson. It was the third single released from his 1992 album Seminole Wind. It peaked at #3 in the United States, and #2 in Canada. Previously, it had been recorded by Knopfler's band Dire Straits, that version being found on their album On Every Street.
